Comment by Elaine Malley on March 29, 2012 at 8:23am Just tested Quia Challenge Board activity in iSwifter Flash web browser and it works! The keyboard does not automatically pop up - you have to tap the keyboard icon at the top right of the screen each time you want to add text. More testing needed with Quia activities.
Comment by Elaine Malley on March 29, 2012 at 8:03am There are some Flash web browser apps that will connect you to the internet and work with flash websites. The one I am using is iSwifter, which is free. There are also other ones available. These work "sometimes" - you just have to test them with the particular website. iSwifter seems to work with "Fling the Teacher", but I have not fully tested it. One downside that i found is that if you switch to a different app and return to iSwifter, it doesn't automatically return you to the website that you were on. You can go to History to return to a previous website. Hope this is helpful information for you.
Comment by Lincoln Whitaker on March 30, 2011 at 7:19am This week I asked my students to tell me what they thought about Quia. I have posted their responses in my blog. Please check it out.
What the kids think
Comment by Obe Hostetter on March 27, 2011 at 5:29pm I love Quia and have been using it for years since it works great in the computer lab for creating tests, surveys, and web pages. With the Ipad not playing flash, that has been a challenge. Some of Quia activities, you can click the link that says Play html version.
I agree there needs to be easier and more options. Share if you find some good apps or ideas.
