Our district ICT supervisor is insisting that the extended warranty be purchased for the iPad to the tune of $119 per device. I have been using iPod touches for 2 years, have 90, and have lost none to damage or device failure. Not one stolen either. I am trying to make the case for why the extended warranty is not a good tactic especially when each of our schools are trying to stretch their budgets are far as possible.Any opinions?See More

- I am piloting a VDOE project, "Beyond Books" with 2 teachers in World History. Our target audience is ESOL exit level students - meaning this will be there last year in an ESOL adapted class. Our school division has moved to etext for all social studies books with science books to follow. The purpose of the pilot is to explore the viability of the iPad as a platform for learning.
