"Kudos to Apple's Senior Tech Support Member, Brian Smith, who got my IPad up & running and stayed late so I had it in time for work!"

I have taught for 30 years. I am just completed my 20th year teaching Title 1 math. My husband and I live on a farm where he is a full time farmer with his brother & dad on the family livestock operation. We have a grown daughter and married son who has a 2 1/2 year old daughter (she was 2 in November) who can navigate the IPad independently. She is known to webcam us on her own without permission which has led to some interesting first minutes of our visits.

I began tutoring this summer for the first time and you guessed it, my primary tool is my IPad.  The kids love it and so do I.  They work through the programs at my side and we have so much more interaction as they problem solve.  Their excitement as they see ongoing scores and animation is addicting as well as my old school one on one verbal encouragement as they work through their skill development.  I love being able to mesh old school with modern technology and the IPad is just the ticket to do it, no time lost dealing with a mouse, finding websites, etc.  Everything is right there with just a touch.  My tutoring time with the kids is time well spent.  I usually do it in the child's living room with parents floating in and out they love what they see.  I have even had one parent increase my fee stating I don't charge enough for what I do and what I get out of their child in the hour I am there.
