iPhoto help-filling up hard drive

We have 30 ipads syncing to one computer. Our kids use them for photos all the time, has anyone found a better way to hold the photos?I would like to keep them for the year then trash them-but that fills up the macair too quickly.Other then syncing, then moving them one at a time to a external hard drive-which takes individual time and defeats the purpose of the cart we bought.Suggestions?JUSee More

"1) Supposedly a Mac can handle 10 syncs at one time.  With a powered USB 2.0 hub, you should be able to sync those iPads.  iOS 5 is going to move to over-the-air updates, and may alleviate a lot of the problems.  It may also cause…"
