Thank you for visiting the iPads in Education website.
I have been leading technology applications in business and education for over 25 years and I'm currently working as an independent educational technology consultant to a number of K-12 schools - both large and small. I also advise and give workshops to administrators, parents and teacher groups about technology and its impact on the future of education. I was recently invited to meet in Athens with the Prime Minister and Education Minister of Greece to consult on ways in which they could modernize their education system through the use of technology and 21st century pedagogical practices.
The magic of technology lies in its ability to empower and connect people. It's role in education should be transparently woven into the fabric of new pedagogical models that stress modern skills and requirements and graduate students that will be independent, life-long learners.
Schools can no longer afford to remain certification mills that deliver slivers of content to students and then require them to regurgitate it back in order to pass arbitrary assessment. The world around us is changing exponentially. My hope is that we can re-envision the role of educational institutions in order to remain relevant in the rapidly evolving landscape of life in the 21st century.

Hi! I was given your contact from a colleague at Bialik who was given your info by your nephew. We have 30 iPads at the moment, they are being shared and not being used as single person devices, which we are struggling with at the moment. I have an iPads as well, and can see the value in them, but the multi user issue is huge at the moment. Looking forward to reading more on the ning. Michelle
