Exploring the use of iPads and mobile devices in education.
Hello I am wondering what people in the iPads in Education ning think about trying to create a statewide or even nationwide collaborative effort by innovative teachers who desire to write dynamic and interactive content for a particular subject using iBooks Author?
The idea would be to create free resources that teachers/districts can use in place of hard copy and Publisher etexts. The way I see it districts can use this an alternative form of pay for their teachers to help create these files. In return the district would have access to these files and teachers would have the ability to add/modify these files (personalize videos etc) and distribute to their students.
This idea would be similar to the flexbooks that are currently created by CK-12 however would posses more interactive modules and a greater ability for the individual teacher to personalize.
Interested in everyones thoughts...
