iPads in Education

Exploring the use of iPads and mobile devices in education.

I have a teacher that wants students to use Words with Friends App on two classroom IPads that are shared by her students. I believe the App requires an email address. The teacher, obviously cannot s/u her email on the classroom IPads. My recommendation was that this App cannot be used on shared device. Is this correct?

Many people set up an email address specifically for the iPads that can only be used for outgoing email. It can be used for submitting work via email or for registrations. You can set up and use a gmail account if needed and then just automatically delete or redirect incoming email as needed. That solves your registration problem - you'd still have the issue that anyone using the iPads would have access to the game being played.
