iPads in Education

Exploring the use of iPads and mobile devices in education.

We will be reimaging our desktops this summer and I am not sure how to go about backing up the Itunes accounts for the ipads, or if that is even necessary.

When the reimage takes place the hard drives are wiped clean and the OS /and programs are reinstalled. Any users' data on the hard drive (including the itunes info) is wiped.

How should I explain to my teachers for backing up the Ipads and Itunes libraries?

Prior to the last day of school I was going to suggest doing a backup/sync of each device.

But then what about the current itunes librarys?

Will they need to de-authorize each Ipad before the end of school since Next year the itunes library will not be there and the computer will not recognize the device?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions

Will the ipad devices be hard reset (wiped) prior to the start of next school year? Also are the iOS devices synced to one or more master host computers or are they synced on a bunch of different workstations?

The ipad devices themselves will not be reset.

The iOs devices have one master computer they sync to
