I just wrote a grant to get an apple tv and hmdi input projector.  I am excited to have the ability to mirror wirelessly, but also for the students to be able to do the same!

The quick app changing gestures are neat, but 4 finger swiping is tricky to get use to.  The hardest part is updating all of the iPads, but the wireless syncing should be awesome too.  It would be great to be able to disable the messaging app.

The ability to mirror the iPad to the apple tv that I have has been so much fun to explore. We created imovies about our water cycle chalk drawings. We just streamed it to the projector...passed around the iPad and created together. https://sites.google.com/a/huron-city.k12.oh.us/lacrosse-science/st...
Our animal adaptation posters that we created with AnimalCreator app and Pages is on that same webpage. My students were able to share easily by mirroring.
Also, during our upcoming science investigations, we can stream each groups work to see together.
I can imagine that I'm going to keep finding more!
How do I love thee?

Syncing to the cloud -eliminates 1:1 concerns about syncing with laptops
Tabs on safari
International letters on the keyboard (tap and hold the a,e,n, I, etc.....)
Tabbed browsing on safari...did I say that already?
Swiping between windows (home button is soo last month..lol)

The list goes on...
We are making some progress.... But still have a little ways to go...

Another iOS 5 issue...The introduction of iOS 5 seems to have changed the relationship between the apple devices and Bretford carts. This week while prepping a set of 30 iPod touches with iOS 5.01 and a new Bretford cart we learned that the devices have to be turned completely off before the syncing can be initiated. Here is a link to the information from Bretford, apple.bretford.com/files/downloads/iOS5-Bulletin-for-TL357LLC.pdf

Has anyone else had this experience?
