Exploring the use of iPads and mobile devices in education.
Our library is receiving in 20 iPads. The library has been set up with a Program Facilitator account for the App Store Volume Purchase Program. In fact, they've already purchased a number of apps, and are ready to install!
So, now they need to install and manage the iPads. They will use a single Mac to do so until they get a cart.
Now they need to set up an iTunes account to manage the iPads. This part seems to get glossed over in various guides.
What is your work flow for setting up these kinds of accounts? Do you tie them to generic email accounts? Can they be set up without a credit card? Can the Program Facilitator account be used?

Is this how you all have created iTunes accounts without inputting credit card information? And then tied the account to a "generic" email address, like ipadlab3@myschool.edu?
Permalink Reply by Mark O'Neil on April 12, 2011 at 9:47am I was wondering how it was going with managing all of your ipads on one computer? Are you logged into the mac with the same account when plugging in the ipads or do you log out and then log in with a different user. Basically i guess this would answer whether or not each ipad needs its own itunes library or not.
Thank you
